What to Expect When Getting Veneers
Having porcelain veneers requires two appointments at our office. Once we have determined that veneers are right for you, we’ll take impressions of your teeth. We’ll also prepare your teeth to receive the veneers and give you a set of temporary veneers to wear.
The laboratory will use your impressions to custom-make your porcelain veneers. Once they have been completed, the laboratory will send them back to our office. You’ll return for a follow-up, where you and your dentist will examine your new veneers and try them on. Once you are sure you’re satisfied, and your dentist is too, we’ll cement them into place.
Assessing Your Needs
When we meet with you, we’ll discuss what your goals are and examine your teeth and gums. Once we’ve evaluated your oral health, we can recommend which services are most appropriate for reaching your goals. If you require other services, we’ll let you know what our recommendations are. For example, you may want to complete teeth whitening before you have your veneers so that the veneers can be matched to your new, brilliantly whitened teeth.
